Personal Finance Bible Verse Of The Day: Don’t Become Weary In Doing Good

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. Galatians 6:9-10

This week at my church the pastor was challenging all of us in the church to be on the lookout for opportunities to be engaged in helping others. Whether it’s helping the single mother down the street by watching her kids so she can have a free moment, or helping someone at your church to find a new job, your good work will come back to you in so many ways.  I really do believe that we are the happiest as children of God when we follow his example, and care and help others.

In fact, as it says in Proverbs, when we help others, we ourselves will prosper, and will be refreshed!

A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed. Proverbs 11:25

Living in such tough times as we do, opportunities to help others abound, all you have to do is be open to helping, and you’ll find a chance!

Will you make a pledge to help others this month? What are some ways you can help? Leave us a note in the comments!

Thank you for this. I have been so blessed — it’s important to remember that I should in turn help bless others.

So many people need just a little helping hand. I will make a point for the month of March to find people who are in need.

This is really important to remember — especially in these times when many families were not prepared for a prolonged economic downturn. I’ve heard it said that those who share their stores of grain will have them multiplied; those who hoard will lose what they have put up.

This is a great time to share your faith. People are looking for answers in all this turmoil. Ministry opportunities abound.

I think that you will notice that those with rock-solid faith draw others to them. Sharing becomes natural.

If you find others in need you will be blessed. This is a keystone to Divine financial security.

I have always been a giver, perhaps to a fault, but I know that He knows my heart and my desire to do good. I also know that I have at times given more than I should have financially and hurt myself in the end. I think it is important to give.. but money is only one way. Everyone can give time – spending time with someone who needs a friend… there are many opportunities out there. We just have to ask HIM and act.
    God bless YOU

I work as a caregiver to those who are in need, the elderly mostly, I just gained a client whose wife sent us to a place called ” FEED MY STARVING CHILDREN”
there we bagged serious protein pack for the starving children in Hatti. Just 2 hours of our time forged 1600 packs of food that will feed 20 people for a year!!! I am going back there to work again, it is a monotonous job but there was something so soothing and peaceful about it, I just loved the feeling, hence my going back.
They are a interstate organization not for profit which needs monetary donations to continue their work. How wonderful to “tithe” and do good works all in the same place all at the same time! There are happiness endorphin’s that are released while working at this place.
Here is their info for any interested and looking for a place to do great works
