We’ve Been Nominated In The Personal Finance Plutus Awards! Help Us Win With Your Vote!

This year marks the second year that the personal finance community via Flexo of Consumerism Commentary has run it’s own awards of a sort to honor the best blogs in a variety of categories.  The awards are called the Plutus Awards, and will honor personal finance blogs in a variety of categories from blog of the year, to the most controversial personal finance blog.  So why is it called the Plutus Awards?

In ancient Greek mythology, Plutus was the god of wealth. Much like wealth itself, Plutus was blind, offering his virtues without regard for the virtuosity or merit of the recipient. He was lame but winged, leaving much more quickly than he could arrive.

Last year I was honored to be listed as one of the finalists in the “best religious finance blog” category.  This year, I’m humbled once again to have been chosen as a finalist in two categories.

  • Best Religious Finance Blog
  • Blog Of The Year

Thanks to those who nominated my site, and thanks to all the readers who have stuck with the site over the past 4 years, faithfully reading our content day in and day out.

Vote For Me To Win!

The voting to crown the winners in each of the categories has now started, and will run through the 21st of September.   I’d appreciate your votes in both categories that I’ve been nominated in (I’ve got some stiff competition as you’ll see!), and I’m sure other personal finance bloggers would appreciate your votes as well in all the other categories.  Here are the details about the voting:

The time has come to show appreciation for your favorite personal finance bloggers, products and services. From September 1 through September 21, personal finance bloggers may vote for their favorites among all the categories while the general public, including blog readers and fans, are welcome to vote for the blogs that inspire. The Plutus Awards are configured like this to bring attention to the products and services that meet expert approval as well as to the blogs that provide the best experiences for their readers, fans, and colleagues.

You do not need to vote in every category. If you do not have a preference, it’s better to leave that category blank.

The winners of the Plutus Awards will be announced live at the Financial Blogger Conference in Chicago on October 1st, so that should be a lot of fun, no matter who wins!

To vote for me just head on over to the Plutus Awards site, and denote whether you are a financial blogger or not – and then proceed to voting. If you want to skip some of the categories you can feel free to do that as voting in every category is not required.  Head on over and vote by clicking on the link below!
