My stuff was stolen
A few days ago I wrote on this blog about how my car had been broken into, and that I had about $700 worth of electronics, clothing and gear stolen from me. Among the items stolen were my Ipod and my digital camera.
I was extremely upset, not only because I felt so violated by having someone rifle through my car and take my personal belongings, but also because all three of the above items were ones that I used almost on a daily basis.
Thanks for your help!
One should never underestimate the kindness of friends and strangers on the Internet. Shortly after I posted on the blog detailing my experience I received emails from two different people. One was offering me a new 1 gigabyte Ipod Shuffle in exchange for a little logo design work. The other offered me their spare digital camera, and once again all I had to do was design a logo for their website.
I took both people up on their offers as I didn’t have the extra income right now to be able to buy a new Ipod or camera. Also, since I’m going on a trip to Europe next month – I really need a camera to take pictures in places everywhere from Barcelona to Venice.
So I just wanted to post a quick thank you to those two people who emailed me to help me out. I haven’t asked their permission to post their names, but stay tuned, you may see their new ads in the sidebar soon!

I am glad you got those two people. You have positive energy around you so you got the karma.
I love how God supplies our needs even if we can’t figure out how it will work!

Hope you had records of the serial numbers of your items that were stolen. The chance might be small but if the police happen to recover it you would need proof to get it back.

I do have the serials for the GPS and Camera – not so much on the Ipod. Oh well – I doubt they’ll ever find anything anyway.
Thanks for the encouraging story. It’s awesome to experience a sense of community in today’s world where people take care of eachother.
Look forward to hearing about your Europe trip.
