Cash Crate: Cash Cow Or Spam Signup Service?
I recently signed up for Cashcrate.com through an affiliate link on a friend’s website. They had done a review of the service, talked about how they were making quite a bit of extra spending money every month filling out surveys, taking questionnaires, and how it wasn’t hard to get a check every month once you signed up.
Naturally I was a bit skeptical of the whole idea, and while I decided to sign up, I went in with my eyes wide open. Instead of signing up with my normal email address, I signed up with an email address that I use only for email offers, spammy sites and signing up for things where I’ll be getting a bunch of emails I didn’t really want or need.
Signing Up
Signing up for CashCrate.com was easy. I just clicked on someone’s affiliate link to get to the site. Once on the site I just entered my first and last name, my email and a password and I was set to go. From there I was able to start taking surveys and signing up for different offers to get payouts. I think from start to finish it only took a couple of minutes to get going.
Using Cash Crate
Once signed up you just need to start completing and submitting offers and filling out surveys to start piling up the money. Once you reach $10 in your account CashCrate.com will send you a check on your specified payout day.
Probably the easiest way to start getting money in your account from the get-go is by selecting to complete offers that are “100% free” so that you don’t have to pay anything to complete the offers. To do that just sort them by type and payout as shown below. The highest paying offers will show up at the top of the list.
Be careful because the top paying offers are often for things like payday loans and other services that you might not really want to get involved with.
Other offers can sometimes be confusing as well. For example, some offers will ask you to fill out a form to receive payout, but you often don’t have to fill out anything past the first page. For example, on the offer below all you should have to do is just fill out your email address, submit, and then submit the confirmation on cashcrate. However, when you submit your email it will ask for further information, have you fill out a survey, etc etc. You don’t HAVE to go past that first page.
Does It Work?
So far I’ve been reasonably happy with Cashcrate.com. I’ve been able to reach the payout amount in less than 2 days of surfing when I had a free moment. In two days of surfing I’ve currently got $11.69 in earnings with another $21.50 pending. Not bad for a couple hours of clicking in my free time! On top of that you can earn referrals by referring other people to use the service.
Update: I’ve now been using the service for a couple of years, and have now made over $2800 with Cash Crate!
Try It Out
If you’re interested you can try it out by signing up through my affiliate link here:
When signing up, remember that you might want to use an throwaway email address, or sign up for a new one because you WILL be getting emails from companies you do the surveys through, etc.
Let me know what you think once you’ve signed up!

How long does it typically take to have the pending earnings move into the money earned? I have been filling out only the email on the first pages but the money just is sitting in the pending earnings for days?
Thanks!

It’s strange, some of them move over right away, while others seem to stay in pending for quite a while. I’m not sure if some just take longer or what? As you can see i have over $20 in pending earnings as well. I’ll have to put up an update in a while and say how well it’s working since i’ve only been doing it for a few days now..
Pete,
How many hours of answering surveys/questionnaires it took you to earn that pending $20?

I love cashcrate and would recommend to anyone, new offers are sometimes thin on the ground (for the UK anyway) but the best way is by referrals. I have made more money by doing this than by completing offers.
Colins last blog post..You-Cubez.com a Fun PTC Site
@Sam it took about 2 hours to get that pending $20 probably?
@Colin – Yeah I’m finding that referrals are doing pretty well for income as well once the good offers start getting thin.
Ok you know what Pete, I just sent a comment on Bob’s blog bout this. I’m more than convince to try this now. They can also pay you via paypal yeah>? Will give this a shot tomorrow morning! Thanks man!

I don’t see an option for a paypal payout on here. All I can see is this:
“We will mail your check on the 15th after each month that you meet your minimum payout”
Hope that helps. Good luck!
Ok I’m screwed*laughs*..it means I have to open a dollar account…here in the Philippines to cash it hahahaha..oh dear!

Ok just an update. I did a quick google and got this link–> http://forums.cashcrate.com/archive/index.php/t-765.html
It looks possible to receive earnings from cash crate via your paypal!
Pete: Going by your earnings, $20 in 2 hours is not bad. Assuming you will be spending 8 hours a day (i know this is exag but a possibility) for 22 days (thats excluding sat and sundays, hence 22 days) a month..thats $1,769…thats a serious amount of money! You think this is a possibility?

I think the link you mention may be a couple years old. I can’t find a paypal option anywhere in my account.
I’m not sure that would be possible for earnings sam, I think the offers would run out at some time and you’d be left with only referrals as a source of income. But hey, if you wanna give it a shot – go for it!
How are you?
I ran into your blog after doing a search on cashcrate.
Have you ever considered earning money with freebie/incentive sites? These sites are very similar to what you are doing with cashcrate, except the differences are that:
1.) You only have to do offers once instead of doing offers month after month. (Just complete enough offers to get 1.0 credits)
2.) Once you’ve gotten your required credits, your only work from there will be to get referrals to do what you just did. You will get paid $30-$40 per referral. Compare that to the $3 that we get from cashcrate?
3.) You do not have to wait 30 days to receive your check. You can get paid to your paypal account within 24 hours once you make a request for payment.
See my payment proofs at http://freebie-payment-proofs.blogspot.com/
Anyways, if you are interested… you can check my site at http://wemakefreecash.info — And if you do decide to complete the offers, by signing up through my link there. I will pay you $20 to your paypal account once I have received notice of your completion.
Thanks for taking the time to read this,
Jean

P.S – Please let me know if you have any questions at all. I am here to help!
@Sam: CashCrate no longer offers PayPal payments.
@Peter: I was a little frustrated this month as I had over $20 in Pending that never materialized as earnings. I did make $14.45 last month though and got my first check last week. I don’t have many referrals yet and the referrals I did get only did a couple offers. Once I get my blog more active, I’ll do a post like yours that will hopefully net me more referrals.
One thing that bugs me with some forms is that I’ll fill out my address and I’ll get an error saying that the USPS says it’s not a residential address and it won’t let me complete the form. The problem is that I live in a long term care center and have for nearly seventeen years. It may not be a home to the USPS, but it’s home to me.
I’m glad you’ve had some success with CashCrate. I won’t quote specifics, but let’s just say that this is my best month with CashCrate ever. To get some idea of my earnings, I’m currently leading the July referral contest, which is really just icing on the earnings cake! I couldn’t be more happy with their service.
I’ve actually signed up under you as well, I think I’m a bit of the reason your revenue is doing so well!
I personally made almost $200 in August, its a highly recommended program for anyone out there wanting some extra cash. It wont get you rich, but a few hundred extra bucks is always nice!
Feel free to contact me about CashCrate at my website, I’m more than happy to assist with any tips, questions or any assistance you guys need to get started as well:

soon you’ll be making a ton, i’m sure!
it doesnt take long to do a survey a long as you watch the tips and tricks in youtube. I got my pay check for $86 a couple of days ago and im waiting to process it now. The only problem is that the surveys to people outside the US is very little.
Do you really need to give out real information when completing surveys to get paid? Or could you get paid by giving a different name, address, and all those infos? Cause I tried it last night and they have offers that ask you for personal information. I’m comfortable giving cashcrate my info, but not so much with the offers?
yes, you would have to give out real information, however, on the ones you’re not comfortable doing it, I would just skip those. Remember to setup a separate email address for these offers only, because you WILL get some email from these offers.
im 13 and im using. i started today but alot of the things are just for 18 and older. i have like 5 bucks in my pending earnings and they’ve been there for ever! i dont know whats wrong…am i not completing the things?
cashcrate is a great website and very easy way to make money. The best part is it’s completely free. Just fill out surveys and get paid for it? thats like everyones dream job! Get started today!
