It’s been an interesting week here in Minnesota – we’ve had some strange July weather with cooler than normal temperatures, and over the last day or so we’ve had extremely overcast skies (see the photo I took last night above), but no rain.  Our area has been pretty dry this year, and we could really use some of that rain.  While we were at a friend’s cabin a couple weeks ago the shoreline was back about 20-30 feet from where it normally is.  Water levels are extremely low!

Welcome

This past week we welcomed a new contributor to the site, Craig Ford.  Craig was born and raised in the South Pacific nation of Papua New Guinea (PNG), and is currently working there as a Christian missionary.  His first post earlier this week, “Ten Ways To Improve Financial Intimacy In Marriage“, was a great one. I know it brought up some great points that really made me stop and think about my own marriage. If you’re interested you can read a guest post Craig sent in last week as well.  It’s called, “Net Worth: How Should It Be Defined?“. Check out Craig’s site, “Money Help For Christians” as well!  We look forward to more great posts from Craig every Tuesday!

Carnivals, Links And More

I had a lazy week this past week, and only participated ina couple carnivals of note.

Apparently it was the week of the Cash For Clunkers posts – so here are a few of the better ones!

We’ve had a cool summer in OH as well… We have only had a few days in the upper 80s or higher. I love it though – our house stays fairly cool in the summer and we can open the windows at night. It should keep our utilty bills low this summer. :)

We have your weather in Michigan. Summer really hasn’t begun yet. One or two days could have been classified as that but the others have been more like spring.

Great blog. Glad I found it. :D Beautiful cloud pic.

Blessings! Nancy
