I think I will always be working on something. I'm not the type to sit around without a project of some sort. I don't think I will be sitting in an office though. I think it will be something entrepreneurial or creative. That's just how my mind functions. :)

@Peter I think you have the mentality of most people. Work for as long as you can, but because you want to, not because you have to. In these days people have to work longer because it's too expensive to live. I don't see that changing ever, so more people will have to work later.

Yep, I'm with you (I even have the Office Space Kit ;-) ). I love working with technology, but 8-10hrs/day in my cube drives me nuts! First I'd like to move to working a job that allows me to be out and about a little more, and then at some point become financially independent and be able to work for free :-). I've got enough ministry ideas to keep me busy long past the time I'm dead and gone.

Put it this way...I don't plan to ever retire, but I do aspire to one day not have to work for money. There are plenty of other things I would rather do with my time than update lines of code from a cubicle for eight hours a day. Sorry, I know that sounded like a line from Office Space, but it pretty much sums up my feelings. Nice, thought-provoking post.

Nope not me. Getting out of debt was the first step towards working a job that fills my soul and compliments me. Once that happens, I will hope I never retire!
