ANY sin never ends well! The thing that strikes me about greed is that while we're more than willing to assign it to corporate executives, we rarely assign it to government bureaucrats who run the biggest Ponzi scheme of all. I think part of the point was that no one is excluded from greed. The poorest to the richest are all vulnerable to greed if they’re not careful. These high profile examples are just extremes to illustrate the point.

That bible verse above is often mis-quoted as “money is the root of all evil” when it is actually “the love of money is the root of all evil”. Quite a difference between the two.

Always a tough topic. Like the movie quote “people who say money is the root of all evil, don’t have any.” And to an extent I agree. But of course I understand what you are saying. everyone is looking for the next big thing, quick buck to help themselves. Usually something has to sacrifice in the end.

Can you imagine being in Bernie Madoff's shoes now? Would you rather be yourself of him? - I know the answer to that question if you asked me. I know that money itself does not make me happy. It may be a means to my happiness, but more often than not it can be a hindrance to it.
