I have to agree. Your right to vote is hard won, and it should not be trivialized. There are still many nations in this world that work with systems less "of the people", and they suffer for it. I’m not hyped up about any one candidate either -but at the same time certain candidates actually are closer to my beliefs and values than the others are, and I’ll vote for them just because I don’t want to see the other candidates in office who are showing values that are nowhere near mine.

Did I hold my nose while voting? Yes. Do I think it was a useless vote? no..

I know I should go vote, but I'm not going to. Why? I don't like anyone on the ballot for the major races, and am not concerned about the local issues on my ballot. I did my research, and decided not to bother. I should probably go vote third-party, but I know in that case it's just a vote for political reasons, and not actually likely to help anyone win.. and I just can't justify it to myself. ncs last blog post..yum yums: sonic!
