Personal Finance Bible Verse of the Day: I Am Ready

by Peter Anderson · 1 comment

For I have learned to be content, whatever the circumstances may be. I know now how to live when things are difficult and I know how to live when things are prosperous. In general and in particular I have learned the secret of eating well or going hungry of facing either plenty of poverty. I am ready for anything through the strength of the One who lives within me. Philippians 4:11-13

Even though we’re going through some tough economic times right now, it is important to remember what is really important, and where true contentment lies.  It doesn’t lie in having a big 401k, or a large savings account.   It lies in being saved through Jesus Christ, the “One who lives within me”.  He gives us strength when times are bad, and when times are good.  He is constant, he is always with us, and we can always trust in him.  Knowing that gives me peace.

During tough times like these, it’s important to focus less on money troubles, and more on what really matters. Great advice!
