Looking back at August 2008

August was another great month for Bible Money Matters as we continue our strong growth from our launch in January to the point today where we’re serving up daily personal finance articles, bible commentary and advice to over 375 feed subscribers, 15,500 monthly visitors and almost 25,000 monthly page views.  In fact this month we went over 100,000 page views since our launch!

I’d like to thank some of our top referrers for BMM this past month.  They include the following:

  1. beingfrugal.net
  2. brokegradstudent.com
  3. borrowfromnone.com
  4. twitter.com
  5. sensetosave.com
  6. moolanomy.com
  7. ptmoney.com
  8. snowflakerevolution.com
  9. kingdomfirstmom.com
  10. allbusiness.com
  11. remodelingthislife.com
  12. pfbuzz.com
  13. debtfree-revolution.com
  14. freefrombroke.com
  15. gatherlittlebylittle.com

Thanks everyone, I appreciate you linking to Bible Money Matters!  I couldn’t have reached 100k without you!

Top Content

Our top 8 articles for the month of August were:

  1. A second stimulus check: Is it on the way, and is it even a good idea?
  2. Are we going to get another stimulus check?
  3. A second stimulus check – why not just create your own?
  4. 5 ways to make some extra money
  5. Another stimulus check – roundup of opinions
  6. Microloans – helping those less fortunate through microfinance
  7. Frugal things to do in Minneapolis, Minnesota (from the Frugal Things To Do In.. series)
  8. A step by step guide to making money with Cash Crate.  I made over $80 last month! A reader told me that they made over $200! check it out!

From those top articles it’s pretty easy to see what topics are pretty important to people – getting another stimulus check, and making more money than they’re currently making.  Who said greed isn’t alive and kicking?  (ok, just kidding… kinda).  At least the microfinance article made the top 10 this month!

Thanks to everyone for making bringing us to where we are, and we hope you stay tuned for the next couple weeks as we have a bunch of great guest posts coming up!
