		<description>Thanks, Peter.
What financial advice would you give a 38 year old widow?

<description>Sorry to hear that JLS, my condolences to you and yours. Losing a loved one is so tough, especially when they die young with little ones in the house. I&#039;ll pray for your family in this tough time.

“Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you. So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?” Hebrews 13:5-6</description>

		<description>Peter,
Thanks for the pointer.
I&#039;ve been offline for over a week, but am back going at my blog.
Pray for my family. We just lost my older brother to cancer. He lasted about 7 weeks from the beginning of symptoms.
He left two children (12&amp;6 yrs)and a wife.
If you have any pointers that I can send her way to help her out, please do.
Jason

<description>JLS - it sounds like you&#039;re doing pretty good already, but you can always do better - I know I can!

Here&#039;s a good place to start for zero-based budgets - my post on cash flow planning from my Financial Peace University Series:

		<description>Zero based budget?
Honestly, I can do much better than I do. I have money to spare and am saving about $750-1000/month.
At the same time I do not believe that it will last like this.
Where do I start?
