thanks for the comments guys - as you say Chris, don't get the stuff-itis. Be content with what you have, strive hard and often you'll make more as a result of your good attitude and hard work.

This site rocks. The content of personal finance in the context of the Bible and God's will for us is exactly what myself and others need to hear.

I blog at 20smoney.com and am big into investing and personal finance. I'm also a christian and am pumped that you have a thriving blog regarding this topic. I would love to help you continue your success by posting a link or a guest post for your blog to the readers at my blog.

Shoot me an email, I would love to discuss further.

Thanks!

Be content.

This definitely speaks to me. As Dave Ramsey puts it, don't get stuffitis. I often fall in love with the newest shiny thing. I usually don't buy, but often think how cool it would be to have something. (I think there's a commandment on that) <sigh)

When I do my consulting I often come across people who are down to their last nickel. I'll help them out as I am able, but I cannot in good conscience take that last nickel when they need it for food, medication, or gas to get to work.

I could use the money, that's for certain, but when I'm content and place my trust in God, I know He will provide.

Thanks for the reminder.
