A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones. Proverbs 14:30
This verse tells us that we need to find peace in God, and that when we envy the things that our friends and neighbors have, it will begin to “rot the bones”. We will begin doing things we normally might not have, just because we want the newest and the best. We need to store up our treasures in heaven, or not be surprised when the rotting begins.
