Misfortune pursues the sinner, but prosperity is the reward of the righteous. A good man leaves an inheritance for his children’s children, but a sinner’s wealth is stored up for the righteous. Proverbs 13:21-22
The righteous man will have his reward, and will be prosperous. As a sinner your wealth is forfeit. You’re waging a losing battle, and as it says, your wealth is only just stored up for the righteous. The righteous store up their treasures in heaven, something that the sinner doesn’t understand, or care to know.
