The Book Meme – Tag I’m It!

Ok, I’ve been tagged by glblguy over at Gather Little By Little in regards to the “book meme”. Well, what does that mean you ask?

  1. Pick up the nearest book (of at least 123 pages).
  2. Open the book to page 123.
  3. Find the fifth sentence.
  4. Post the next three sentences.
  5. Tag five people.

Step 1: Pick up the nearest book

Ok, I’m in the basement so the nearest book was actually not that close. We keep the books up in our “library” upstairs (actually just the spare bedroom), so I dashed upstairs and grabbed the first book I saw. That book was Act of Treason by Vince Flynn. It’s a bit of a spy novel, actually quite a good read. So, on to page 123!

Steps 2-4: Page 123, fifth sentence, next 3 sentences

Here is what I found:

Educated guesses based on real-life experiences were what gave you the edge in these situations. Rapp pictured what was going on upstairs as he placed each foot carefully on the treads. The old man was about five foot eight and weighed close to two hundred pounds.

Wow, pretty exciting stuff, right? Makes you want to run out and buy the book right away! What happens next?! If you really want to know, I’ll be happy to sell you the book and send it your way.. :)

Step 5: Tag five people

Ok, so I’m tagging these five blogs that I’ve just recently discovered:

  1. The Weight of Glory
  2. Be Thrifty Like Us
  3. Fabulous Financials
  4. The Dough Roller
  5. Lashawn Barber: Why not – The Cynical Christian did previously, but no response. Let’s try again!

Tag you’re it!
