Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest. Proverbs 6:6-8
This verse seems to be saying a couple of things to me. First, make sure that you save up, because we don’t know what the future holds (the winter/hard times). Second, make sure that you save when times are good (the summer) so that when times get hard, you’ll be prepared. Sounds like a good argument for an emergency fund, don’t you think?
