Ill-gotten treasures are of no value, but righteousness delivers from death. The LORD does not let the righteous go hungry but he thwarts the craving of the wicked. Lazy hands make a man poor, but diligent hands bring wealth. Proverbs 10:2-4
This verse speaks to the importance of hard work in earning your wealth. Those who find their riches through illegal means or get rich quick schemes won’t prosper in the long run, and laziness won’t pay off. Diligent hands and a good work ethic will.
