He who gives to the poor will lack nothing, but he who closes his eyes to them receives many curses. -Proverbs 28:27

That’s a pretty strong statement! He who closes his eyes to the poor will receive many curses. I’ve often found that it is true – that giving can often be better than receiving, and hording leads to nothing but misery. Something to keep in mind.
